Angus, a leading manufacturer of high quality fire protection products has authorized FIREKING to distribute a wide range of foam concentrate. And these foam concentrates are the following.
AFFF-ARC is the acronym for aqueous film forming foam-Alcohol resistant concentrate. This type of foam which is often found in different forms such as AFFF-AR or AR-AFFF is also known as ‘Alcohol foam’, ‘alcohol resistant foam’ or ‘polar solvent foam’. This AFFF-AR 3% UL foam spreads rapidly across the fire and is highly effective against hydrocarbon first and generates a foam blanket that effectively extinguishes fires from polar solvents.
The FP 3% UL is a fluroprotein foam concentrate containing fluorinated surfactant in a carefully formulated protein foam liquid base. This ensures the production of stabilized fluid foam which will cover a burning fuel. The water soluble fluroprotein surfactant makes the foam hydrocarbon repellent and reduces the amount of burning particles absorbed by the foam. Once the fire extinction.
Has been achieved the high stability of the foam blanket ensures the prevention of re-ignition.
Both the AFFF-ARC and the FP 3% UL foam are intended for use on class B hydrocarbon fuel fires such as oil, diesel and aviation fuel.
The FP3% UL can be applied directly onto the fire surface and is also suitable foe sub surface injection and the AFFF-ARC can be used with both aspirating and non aspirating discharge devices.
And they are compatible with all dry chemical powder and can be used in powder/foam twin agent systems, all the Angus foam can be used at a proportioned solution in fresh or seawater. And all the foam has been tested and measured against UL Standard UL 162 to ensure its fire performance.
In addition to the above UL listed foams, Angus has a wide range of foams with certifications for other sectors, such as marine and shipping (IMO SOLAS), civil aviation (ICAO kevel B) military (UK Defense) and many approvals to European Standard EN 1568. All of these are available at FIREKING.
